The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When one of you puts on his sandals, let him begin with the right, and when he takes them off, let him begin with the left. The right should be the first to be put on and the last to be taken off."
حدثنا عبد الله بن مسلمة عن مالك عن أبي الزناد عن الأعرج
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال إذا انتعل أحدكم فليبدأ باليمين وإذا نزع فليبدأ بالشمال ولتكن اليمين أولهما ينتعل وآخرهما ينزع
Bukhari, Clothing, Chapter on taking off the left shoe, hadith 5856, from Abdullah Qanabi, and Muslim, Clothing, Chapter on the recommendation of putting on the right shoe first, etc., hadith 2097, from the hadith of Malik through him, and it is in Muwatta (Yahya narration): 2/916.
