My father said to me, "My son, if you had seen us with our Prophet ﷺ when the rain fell upon us, you would have thought our smell was the smell of sheep."
حدثنا عمرو بن عون حدثنا أبو عوانة عن قتادة
قال لي أبي يا بني لو رأيتنا ونحن مع نبينا ﷺ وقد أصابتنا السماء حسبت أن ريحنا ريح الضأن
Its isnad is daif. It was collected by Tirmidhi in the Chapter on the Description of the Resurrection, Section on Wearing Wool, hadith 2479, from the narration of Abu Awana, and by Ibn Majah, hadith 3562, from the narration of Qatada, with the same chain. Qatada is a mudallis, and I did not find explicit mention of his hearing it.
