The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When the heat becomes intense, delay the prayer until it cools down." Ibn Mawhab said, "with the prayer." "For the intensity of the heat is from the blazing of Hell."
حدثنا يزيد بن خالد بن موهب الهمداني وقتيبة بن سعيد الثقفي أن الليث حدثهم عن ابن شهاب عن سعيد بن المسيب وأبي سلمة
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال إذا اشتد الحر فأبردوا عن الصلاة قال ابن موهب بالصلاة فإن شدة الحر من فيح جهنم
Muslim narrated it in the Book of Mosques, chapter on the recommendation of delaying Dhuhr in intense heat, etc., hadith no. 615, from Qutayba, with the same wording. Bukhari also narrated it, hadith no. 536, from the hadith of Ibn Shihab Zuhri, from Saeed bin Musayab, from Abu Hurairah, with the same wording.
