The Prophet ﷺ, Abu Bakr, Umar, and Uthman used to recite "Malik of the Day of Judgment", and the first to recite it as "Malik of the Day of Judgment" was Marwan.
حدثنا أحمد بن حنبل حدثنا عبد الرزاق أخبرنا معمر عن الزهري قال معمر وربما ذكر
كان النبي ﷺ وأبو بكر وعمر وعثمان يقرءون {مالك يوم الدين} وأول من قرأها {ملك يوم الدين} مروان
[Its chain of transmission is daif] Tirmidhi transmitted it in the chapters on the Quranic readings, chapter on the Opening of the Book, hadith 2928, from the hadith of Abdul-Razzaq, in suspended form, and in his version it reads, Zuhri from Anas. Zuhri narrated with "an" (without specifying direct hearing).
