A man said, "Messenger of Allah, we were living in a house where our numbers were many and our wealth was abundant, then we moved to another house where our numbers grew few and our wealth diminished."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, "Leave it, it is blameworthy."

[Its isnad is daif]. Bukhari narrated it in Adab al-Mufrad, no. 918, from the hadith of Bishr bin Umar Zuhrani through him, and Diya included it in Mukhtara, 4/364, no. 1529.Ikrima bin Ammar was a mudallis (one who conceals defects in transmission) and narrated it using "an" (an ambiguous transmission formula). Bukhari said, "There is something questionable in its isnad."
