[Sahih] Recorded by Muslim, in the Book of Salam, Chapter on Bad Omens, Optimism, and What May Involve Ill Fortune, hadith no. 2225, from Qanabi, and by Bukhari, in the Book of Marriage, Chapter on What Is to Be Guarded Against Regarding the Ill Fortune of a Woman, hadith no. 5093, both from the hadith of Malik through this chain. It is also found in Muwatta (Yahya), 2/973, as the saying of Malik. Bayhaqi also recorded it, 8/140, from Abu Dawud through this chain. Its wording in Bukhari and others is, "If ill fortune is found in anything..." and so on. Both wordings are sahih.
