A man who had been stung by a scorpion was brought to the Prophet ﷺ. He said, "Had he said, 'I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created,' he would not have been stung," or "it would not have harmed him."
حدثنا حيوة بن شريح حدثنا بقية حدثني الزبيدي عن الزهري عن طارق يعني ابن مخاشن
أتي النبي ﷺ بلديغ لدغته عقرب قال فقال لو قال أعوذ بكلمات الله التامة من شر ما خلق لم يلدغ أو لم يضره
[Its isnad is hasan] Nasai recorded it in Al-Kubra, no. 10435, and in Amal al-Yawm wal-Layla, no. 599, from the hadith of Baqiyyah, transmitted through him. Yunus and the nephew of Zuhri also related it from Zuhri, and he explicitly stated hearing it directly (Al-Kubra, no. 10434, and Amal al-Yawm wal-Layla, no. 598).
