The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade us on the day of Khaybar from eating the flesh of donkeys and commanded us to eat the flesh of horses.Amr said, "I reported this to Abu Shatha, and he said, 'Hakam Ghifari used to say this among us, but the ocean rejected it,' meaning Ibn Abbas."

نهى رسول الله ﷺ يوم خيبر عن أن نأكل لحوم الحمر وأمرنا أن نأكل لحوم الخيل قال عمرو فأخبرت هذا الخبر أبا الشعثاء فقال قد كان الحكم الغفاري فينا يقول هذا وأبى ذلك البحر يريد ابن عباس
