He was at as-Saffah. Muhammad said, "A place near Mecca." A man came with a hare he had caught and said, "Abdullah bin Amr, what do you say about this?"He replied, "One was brought to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while I was sitting with him, and he neither ate it nor forbade eating it. He stated that it menstruates."

Sourcing, its chain is daif. Bayhaqi narrated it, 9/321, from the hadith of Abu Dawud through the same route. Muhammad bin Khalid is obscure, and his father was not deemed reliable by anyone except Ibn Hibban. The hadith has a corroborating witness that is also daif. See Fath al-Bari, 9/662.
