[Its chain of transmission is daif] Ibn Majah recorded it in Dhabaih, chapter on the meat of mules, no. 3198, and Nasai, no. 4336, from the hadith of Baqiyyah, through this route.Yahya bin Miqdam is obscure (mastur), and Salih bin Yahya is lenient (Taqrib). Bukhari said of him, "There is something questionable about him." The hadith was declared daif by Hafiz Musa bin Harun and others. Some later scholars have attempted to strengthen this hadith in support of their traditional school of thought, but they have accomplished nothing.
