The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade drinking from the mouth of a waterskin, riding an animal that feeds on filth, and using a tied-up animal as a target for shooting.
حدثنا موسى بن إسمعيل حدثنا حماد أخبرنا قتادة عن عكرمة
نهى رسول الله ﷺ عن الشرب من في السقاء وعن ركوب الجلالة والمجثمة
[Sahih] Reported by Tirmidhi, Foods, chapter on what has been said about eating the meat and drinking the milk of animals that feed on filth, no. 1825, and by Nasai, no. 4453, from the hadith of Qatada, with this wording. Tirmidhi said, hasan sahih, and Ibn Hibban graded it sahih, no. 1363, as did Hakim, according to the criterion of Bukhari, 2/34, and Dhahabi agreed with him. However, its chain of transmission is daif, though the hadith has corroborating narrations.
