The Messenger of Allah ﷺ loved sweets and honey. Then part of this report was mentioned. It was difficult for the Prophet ﷺ for any unpleasant smell to be detected on him.In this hadith, Sawdah said, "Rather, you have eaten maghafir."He replied, "No, I drank honey that Hafsah gave me to drink."So I said, "Its bees must have fed on urfut," which is a plant that bees feed upon.
حدثنا الحسن بن علي حدثنا أبو أسامة عن هشام عن أبيه
كان رسول الله ﷺ يحب الحلواء والعسل فذكر بعض هذا الخبر وكان النبي ﷺ يشتد عليه أن توجد منه الريح وفي هذا الحديث قالت سودة بل أكلت مغافير قال بل شربت عسلا سقتني حفصة فقلت جرست نحله العرفط نبت من نبت النحل
Reported by Bukhari, Ashribah, chapter on badhiq (unaged wine), and those who forbade every intoxicant among drinks, etc., no. 5599, and Muslim, Talaq, chapter on the obligation of atonement upon one who forbids his wife to himself without intending divorce, no. 1474, from the hadith of Abu Usama, with the same chain.
