While he was sitting with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, a Jewish man was present when a funeral procession passed by. The man said, "Muhammad, does this corpse speak?"The Prophet ﷺ replied, "Allah knows best."The Jewish man said, "It does speak."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then said, "Whatever the People of the Book tell you, do not affirm it as true, and do not declare it false. Say instead, 'We believe in Allah and His messengers.' If it is false, you will not have confirmed it, and if it is true, you will not have denied it."
