Abu Saeed Khudri reported,

Two men brought a dispute before the Messenger of Allah ﷺ concerning the protected area surrounding a date palm. According to one narration, he ordered the tree to be measured, and it was found to be seven cubits. According to the other narration, it was found to be five cubits, and he ruled accordingly.Abdul-Aziz said, He ordered one of its palm branches to be brought and measured.

اختصم إلى رسول الله ﷺ رجلان في حريم نخلة في حديث أحدهما فأمر بها فذرعت فوجدت سبعة أذرع وفي حديث الآخر فوجدت خمسة أذرع فقضى بذلك قال عبد العزيز فأمر بجريدة من جريدها فذرعت
