Someone other than Qutayba related in this hadith from Abu Sarma, the companion of the Prophet ﷺ, that the Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever causes harm, Allah will harm him, and whoever causes hardship, Allah will bring hardship upon him."

[Its chain of transmission is daif] Tirmidhi transmitted it in "Al-Birr wal-Sila," chapter on what has been said concerning betrayal and deception, no. 1940, from Qutayba with this wording, and he said, hasan gharib. Luluah has not been deemed reliable by anyone other than Tirmidhi. Ibn Majah also narrated it, no. 2342. The hadith has many corroborating narrations, but all of them are daif.
