Ibn Qudamah said that his brother, or his uncle, while Muammal said that he, came to the Prophet ﷺ while he was delivering a sermon and said, "My neighbors, for what have they been taken?" The Prophet ﷺ turned away from him twice, then he mentioned something, so the Prophet ﷺ said, "Release his neighbors for him." Muammal did not mention "while he was delivering a sermon."
حدثنا محمد بن قدامة ومؤمل بن هشام قال ابن قدامة حدثني إسمعيل
ابن قدامة إن أخاه أو عمه وقال مؤمل إنه قام إلى النبي ﷺ وهو يخطب فقال جيراني بما أخذوا فأعرض عنه مرتين ثم ذكر شيئا فقال النبي ﷺ خلوا له عن جيرانه لم يذكر مؤمل وهو يخطب
