[Its chain of transmission is hasan] Tirmidhi narrated it in the chapter on judgments, in the chapter on what has been said about the briber and the one who accepts a bribe in judgment, hadith no. 1337, and Ibn Majah, hadith no. 2313, from the hadith of Ibn Abu Dhib through this route. Tirmidhi said, hasan sahih, 4/102. Ibn Jarud graded it sahih, hadith no. 586, as did Hakim, 4/102, 103, and Dhahabi agreed with him. The hadith has corroborating narrations in Ibn Hibban, hadith no. 1196, and elsewhere.
