The Prophet ﷺ said, "The one who takes back his gift is like the one who takes back his vomit."Hammam said that Qatada said, "And we do not consider vomit to be anything but forbidden."
حدثنا مسلم بن إبراهيم حدثنا أبان وهمام وشعبة قالوا حدثنا قتادة عن سعيد بن المسيب
عن النبي ﷺ قال العائد في هبته كالعائد في قيئه قال همام وقال قتادة ولا نعلم القيء إلا حراما
Bukhari narrated it in "The Book of Gifts, Its Merits, and Encouragement Toward It," chapter "It is not permissible for anyone to take back his gift or charity," hadith no. 2621, from Muslim bin Ibrahim. Muslim also narrated it in "The Book of Gifts," chapter "The Prohibition of Taking Back Charity After It Has Been Received"... and so on, hadith no. 1622/7, from the hadith of Shubah, through the same chain.
