The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever performs the bath on Friday like the bath required after major impurity and then goes early to the prayer, it is as if he had offered a camel as sacrifice. Whoever goes in the second hour, it is as if he had offered a cow. Whoever goes in the third hour, it is as if he had offered a horned ram. Whoever goes in the fourth hour, it is as if he had offered a hen. Whoever goes in the fifth hour, it is as if he had offered an egg. Then, when the imam comes out, the angels arrive to listen to the remembrance of Allah."
Bukhari narrated it in the book of Jumu'ah, chapter on the virtue of Jumu'ah, no. 881, and Muslim in the book of Jumu'ah, chapter on perfume and the tooth-stick on the day of Jumu'ah, no. 850, from the hadith of Malik with this chain, and it is in the Muwatta (Yahya): 1/101.His statement, "the ghusl of janaba," means a ghusl like the ghusl of janaba. The Hafiz said something similar in Fath al-Bari 2/366, and the hadith of Abdul-Razzaq, no. 5565, supports this.
