The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The two parties to a sale each have the right of choice as long as they have not parted, unless it is a sale with a stipulated option. It is not permissible for one of them to leave his companion out of fear that he might ask to cancel the deal."
حدثنا قتيبة بن سعيد حدثنا الليث عن ابن عجلان عن عمرو بن شعيب عن أبيه
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال المتبايعان بالخيار ما لم يفترقا إلا أن تكون صفقة خيار ولا يحل له أن يفارق صاحبه خشية أن يستقيله
[Hasan] Tirmidhi narrated it in the Book of Trade, chapter on what has been said about the two parties to a transaction having the option of cancellation as long as they have not parted, no. 1247, and Nasai, no. 4488, both of them from Qutayba with this chain, and Tirmidhi said, "Hasan," and Ibn Jarud graded it sahih, no. 620. Ibn Ajlan was corroborated by Bukayr bin Abdullah bin Ashaj as found in Daraqutni, 3/50, and he mentioned the successive chain of hearing.
