The Prophet ﷺ said, "Attending Friday prayer is obligatory upon every male who has reached puberty, and ghusl is obligatory upon everyone who attends Friday prayer."

[Its isnad is sahih] Nasai reported it in the chapter on Friday, in the section on strictness regarding failing to attend Friday prayer, h: 1372, from the hadith of Mufaddal bin Fadala with this same wording. Ibn Khuzayma graded it sahih, h: 1721, as did Ibn Hibban (al-Ihsan), h: 1217.
