I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "Whoever does not abandon mukhabara should be prepared for war from Allah and His Messenger."

سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول من لم يذر المخابرة فليأذن بحرب من الله ورسوله

[Its isnad is daif] Tahawi transmitted it in Maani al-Athar 4/107 from the hadith of Yahya bin Main, with this wording, and Hakim graded it sahih according to the criteria of Muslim 2/86, and Dhahabi agreed with him.
