The Prophet ﷺ forbade the sale of an animal for another animal on deferred payment.
حدثنا موسى بن إسمعيل حدثنا حماد عن قتادة عن الحسن
أن النبي ﷺ نهى عن بيع الحيوان بالحيوان نسيئة
[Sahih] Reported by Tirmidhi, Trade Transactions, chapter on the dislike of selling an animal for an animal on deferred payment, no. 1237, from the hadith of Hammad bin Salama with this chain, and he said, hasan sahih. Also reported by Nasai, no. 4624, and Ibn Majah, no. 2270, and Ibn Jarud graded it sahih, no. 611. Shuba also reported it from Qatada with this chain. The hadith has corroborating narrations in Ibn Hibban, no. 1113, and elsewhere.
