During the year of Khaybar, a necklace containing gold and beads was brought to the Prophet ﷺ. Abu Bakr and Ibn Manee said in their version that it had beads attached to gold. A man had purchased it for nine dinars, or seven dinars.The Prophet ﷺ said, "No, not until you separate the gold from the rest."The man said, "I only wanted the stones."The Prophet ﷺ said, "No, not until you separate the two."So he returned it until the two were separated.Ibn Isa said in his version, "I only wanted it for trade."

Muslim narrated it in Kitab al-Musaqah, chapter on selling a necklace containing beads and gold, hadith no. 1591, from Muhammad bin Ala Abu Kurayb, through this same chain.
