The Messenger of Allah ﷺ cursed the one who consumes usury, the one who pays it, the one who witnesses it, and the one who records it.
حدثنا أحمد بن يونس حدثنا زهير حدثنا سماك
لعن رسول الله ﷺ آكل الربا ومؤكله وشاهده وكاتبه
Sourcing, its chain of transmission is hasan. Tirmidhi narrated it in the Book of Business Transactions, in the chapter on what has been said about consuming riba, hadith no. 1206, from the hadith of Simak bin Harb, and he said, hasan sahih. Ibn Majah also narrated it, hadith no. 2277, and Ibn Hibban graded it sahih, hadith no.
