We went out with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ for a funeral. I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ standing at the grave instructing the digger, "Make it wider at the feet, make it wider at the head."When he turned back, a woman's messenger came to invite him, so he went and food was brought. He placed his hand on it, and the people placed their hands and began to eat. Our fathers noticed the Messenger of Allah ﷺ turning a morsel over in his mouth, then he said, "I find this to be the flesh of a sheep taken without its owners' permission."The woman sent word saying, "Messenger of Allah, I sent someone to al-Baqi to buy me a sheep, but he could not find one. So I sent to a neighbor of mine who had bought a sheep, asking him to send it to me for its price, but he was not to be found. Then I sent to his wife, and she sent it to me."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Feed it to the captives."
