I went out with my father during the Messenger of Allah's ﷺ Hajj. I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and heard people saying, "The Messenger of Allah, the Messenger of Allah," so I kept fixing my gaze upon him. My father drew near to him while he was on his she-camel, holding a whip like the whips of scribes. I heard the bedouins and the people saying, "The pattering, the pattering."My father came close to him and took hold of his foot. The Prophet ﷺ acknowledged him, stopped, and listened to him.My father said, "Messenger of Allah, I vowed that if a male child were born to me, I would slaughter a number of sheep at the top of Buwanah, on a pass among the mountain trails." The narrator said, "I only recall that she said it was fifty."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked, "Is there any idol there?"He replied, "No."The Prophet ﷺ said, "Then fulfill what you vowed to Allah."She said, "So he gathered them and began slaughtering them. One of the sheep escaped from him, and he chased after it saying, 'O Allah, let me fulfill my vow.' He caught it and slaughtered it."
حدثنا الحسن بن علي حدثنا يزيد بن هارون حدثنا عبد الله بن يزيد بن مقسم الثقفي من أهل الطائف قال حدثتني سارة بنت مقسم الثقفي أنها سمعت
خرجت مع أبي في حجة رسول الله ﷺ فرأيت رسول الله ﷺ وسمعت الناس يقولون رسول الله ﷺ فجعلت أبده بصري فدنا إليه أبي وهو على ناقة له معه درة كدرة الكتاب فسمعت الأعراب والناس يقولون الطبطبية الطبطبية فدنا إليه أبي فأخذ بقدمه قالت فأقر له ووقف فاستمع منه فقال يا رسول الله إني نذرت إن ولد لي ولد ذكر أن أنحر على رأس بوانة في عقبة من الثنايا عدة من الغنم قال لا أعلم إلا أنها قالت خمسين فقال رسول الله ﷺ هل بها من الأوثان شيء قال لا قال فأوف بما نذرت به لله قالت فجمعها فجعل يذبحها فانفلتت منها شاة فطلبها وهو يقول اللهم أوف عني نذري فظفرها فذبحها
