A man was brought to the Prophet ﷺ who had been thrown by his mount and died while in the state of ihram. The Prophet ﷺ said, "Shroud him in his two garments and wash him with water and lotus leaves, but do not cover his head, for Allah will resurrect him on the Day of Judgment calling out the talbiyah."
حدثنا محمد بن كثير أخبرنا سفيان حدثني عمرو بن دينار عن سعيد بن جبير
أتي النبي ﷺ برجل وقصته راحلته فمات وهو محرم فقال كفنوه في ثوبيه واغسلوه بماء وسدر ولا تخمروا رأسه فإن الله يبعثه يوم القيامة يلبي
Narrated by Muslim, Hajj, chapter on what is done with the muhrim if he dies, no. 1206, from the hadith of Sufyan, and by Bukhari, Funerals, chapter on how the muhrim is shrouded, no. 1267, from the hadith of Amr bin Dinar, with the same wording.
