Bashir reported,

Bashir, the freed slave of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, whose name during the era of ignorance had been Zahm bin Mabad, migrated to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.The Prophet ﷺ asked him, "What is your name?"He answered, "Zahm."The Prophet ﷺ said, "Rather, you are Bashir."Bashir reported, "While I was walking with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, he passed by the graves of the polytheists and said three times, 'These have missed out on much good.' Then he passed by the graves of the Muslims and said, 'These have attained much good.'Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ happened to glance up, and there was a man walking among the graves wearing sandals. He said, 'You there, wearer of the two sibtiyya sandals, woe to you, take off your sandals!' The man looked, and when he recognized the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, he removed them and threw them aside."

عن بشير

بن نهيك عن بشير مولى رسول الله ﷺ وكان اسمه في الجاهلية زحم بن معبد فهاجر إلى رسول الله ﷺ فقال ما اسمك قال زحم قال بل أنت بشير قال بينما أنا أماشي رسول الله ﷺ مر بقبور المشركين فقال لقد سبق هؤلاء خيرا كثيرا ثلاثا ثم مر بقبور المسلمين فقال لقد أدرك هؤلاء خيرا كثيرا وحانت من رسول الله ﷺ نظرة فإذا رجل يمشي في القبور عليه نعلان فقال يا صاحب السبتيتين ويحك ألق سبتيتيك فنظر الرجل فلما عرف رسول الله ﷺ خلعهما فرمى بهما
