The Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded us to set out for the land of the Negus. He then narrated the account, in which the Negus said, "I bear witness that he is the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and that he is the one whom Isa son of Maryam foretold. Were it not for the kingship I am occupied with, I would have gone to him myself and carried his sandals."
حدثنا عباد بن موسى حدثنا إسمعيل يعني ابن جعفر عن إسرائيل عن أبي إسحق
أمرنا رسول الله ﷺ أن ننطلق إلى أرض النجاشي فذكر حديثه قال النجاشي أشهد أنه رسول الله ﷺ وأنه الذي بشر به عيسى ابن مريم ولولا ما أنا فيه من الملك لأتيته حتى أحمل نعليه
