We were forbidden from following funeral processions, though it was not strictly imposed upon us.

Bukhari narrated it in "Menstruation," chapter "Perfume for a Woman at Her Ritual Bath from Menstruation," Hadith 313, from the hadith of Hammad bin Zayd, in full. Muslim also narrated it in "Divorce," chapter "The Obligation of Mourning During the Waiting Period for a Deceased Husband," etc., Hadith 938, after Hadith 1491, from the hadith of Ayub Sakhtiyani, may Allah have mercy on him.
