The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The best shroud is the two-piece garment, and the best sacrifice is the horned ram."
حدثنا أحمد بن صالح حدثني ابن وهب حدثني هشام بن سعد عن حاتم بن أبي نصر عن عبادة بن نسي عن أبيه
عن رسول الله ﷺ قال خير الكفن الحلة وخير الأضحية الكبش الأقرن
[Its isnad is hasan]. Ibn Majah narrated it in the Book of Funerals, chapter on what is recommended regarding the burial shroud, no. 1473, from the hadith of Abdullah bin Wahb, with this wording. Hakim graded it sahih, 4/228, and Dhahabi agreed with him. The hadith has a corroborating narration in Tirmidhi, no. 1517.
