I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "When one of you dies and the means are available, let him be shrouded in a striped Yemeni cloth."
حدثنا الحسن بن الصباح البزاز حدثنا إسمعيل يعني ابن عبد الكريم حدثني إبراهيم بن عقيل بن معقل عن أبيه عن وهب يعني ابن منبه
سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول إذا توفي أحدكم فوجد شيئا فليكفن في ثوب حبرة
[Its isnad is hasan] Bayhaqi narrated it in Sunan al-Kubra 3/403 from the hadith of Abu Dawud, through him, and Ibn Hajar graded it hasan in Talkhis Habir 2/108. The hadith has a corroborating narration in Ahmad 3/319.
