Its chain is daif. Ibn Majah narrated it in the Book of Funerals, chapter on what is said when someone is dying and death draws near, hadith 1448, from the hadith of Abdullah bin Mubarak, by this route.Abu Uthman is of unknown status, no one but Ibn Hibban considered him reliable, and his father is unknown. Daraqutni graded the hadith as daif. It has a corroborating report with a stopped chain in Ahmad, 4/105, but its chain is also daif.
