The Prophet ﷺ camped at the site of the mosque beneath a lote tree and stayed there for three days, then set out for Tabuk. The tribe of Juhaynah caught up with him at ar-Rahbah, and he asked them, "Who are the people of Dhu al-Marwa?"They replied, "Banu Rifa of Juhaynah."He said, "I have granted it to Banu Rifa as a land grant."So they divided it among themselves. Some of them sold their portions while others kept theirs and worked the land. Then I asked his father Abdul-Aziz about this hadith, and he related part of it to me but did not relate all of it.
[Its isnad is daif] Bayhaqi transmitted it: 6/149, from the hadith of Abu Dawud, through the same chain. Abdul-Aziz bin Rabi bin Sabra bin Mabad belongs to the seventh generation, and he definitely did not meet his grandfather.
