A man from the Asbadhis of Bahrain, who were the Magians of Hajar, came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He stayed with him for a while, then went out. I asked him, "What did Allah and His Messenger decree concerning you?"He replied, "Something bad."I said, "What is it?"He said, "Islam or death."He said that Abdul-Rahman bin Awf said, "He accepted the jizyah from them."Ibn Abbas said, "So the people adopted the statement of Abdul-Rahman bin Awf and left aside what I had heard from the Asbadhi."
