When Allah granted His Prophet ﷺ victory over Khaybar, he divided it into thirty-six shares, each share comprising one hundred portions. He set aside half of it for his needs and whatever might befall him, namely Watih, Kutaybah, and what was annexed to them. He set aside the other half and divided it among the Muslims, namely Shiqq, Natat, and what was annexed to them. The share of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was from what was annexed to them.
[Hasan] Bayhaqi narrated it, 6/317, from the hadith of Abu Dawud, similarly.
