She was among the dearest of his family to him.I said, "Yes."He said, "She ground with the hand-mill until it left marks on her hand, she carried water in the waterskin until it left marks on her chest, and she swept the house until her clothes became dusty. Then some servants were brought to the Prophet ﷺ, so I said to her, 'Why don't you go to your father and ask him for a servant?' She went to him, but found people in conversation with him, so she returned."He came to her the next day and asked, "What was your need?"She remained silent, so I said, "I will tell you, Messenger of Allah. She ground with the hand-mill until it left marks on her hand, and carried the waterskin until it left marks on her chest. When the servants came to you, I urged her to come to you and ask you for a servant to spare her from the toil she is in."He said, "Fear Allah, Fatimah, fulfill the duty owed to your Lord, and do the work of your household. When you go to your bed, say SubhanAllah thirty-three times, Alhamdulillah thirty-three times, and Allahu Akbar thirty-four times. That makes a hundred, and it is better for you than a servant."She said, "I am content with Allah and with His Messenger ﷺ."
