The Prophet ﷺ said, "My heirs shall not divide a single Dinar. Whatever I leave behind, after providing for my wives and the maintenance of my workers, is charity."
حدثنا عبد الله بن مسلمة عن مالك عن أبي الزناد عن الأعرج
عن النبي ﷺ قال لا تقتسم ورثتي دينارا ما تركت بعد نفقة نسائي ومؤنة عاملي فهو صدقة
Bukhari transmitted it in the chapter on the distribution of khums, in the section on the maintenance of the wives of the Prophet ﷺ after his death, hadith no. 3096, and Muslim in the book of jihad and expeditions, in the section on the statement of the Prophet ﷺ, "We leave no inheritance, what we leave is charity," hadith no. 1760, both from the hadith of Malik through this chain, and it is found in the Muwatta (narration of Yahya) 2/993.
