Umar bin Khattab reported,

Regarding the verse, "And whatever Allah restored to His Messenger from them, you did not spur for it any horses or camels" [Hashr 59:6], Zuhri said that Umar said, "This was reserved exclusively for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, namely the villages of Urayna, Fadak, and such and such."Then the verse, "What Allah has restored to His Messenger from the people of the towns belongs to Allah, to the Messenger, to his near relatives, to the orphans, the needy, and the wayfarer" [Hashr 59:7], and to the poor who were driven from their homes and their properties, "and those who were settled in the home and in faith before them" [Hashr 59:9], "and those who came after them" [Hashr 59:10].So this verse encompassed all the people, and there was no Muslim left who did not have a right in it, Ayub said, or he said a share, except some of the slaves you own.

حدثنا مسدد حدثنا إسمعيل بن إبراهيم أخبرنا أيوب عن الزهري قال

قال عمر

{وما أفاء الله على رسوله منهم فما أوجفتم عليه من خيل ولا ركاب} قال الزهري قال عمر هذه لرسول الله ﷺ خاصة قرى عرينة فدك وكذا وكذا {ما أفاء الله على رسوله من أهل القرى فلله وللرسول ولذي القربى واليتامى والمساكين وابن السبيل} وللفقراء الذين أخرجوا من ديارهم وأموالهم {والذين تبوءوا الدار والإيمان من قبلهم} {والذين جاءوا من بعدهم} فاستوعبت هذه الآية الناس فلم يبق أحد من المسلمين إلا له فيها حق قال أيوب أو قال حظ إلا بعض من تملكون من أرقائكم
