The wealth of Banu Nadir was among what Allah granted to His Messenger as spoils which the Muslims had not ridden horses or camels to obtain. It belonged exclusively to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, who would spend from it on his household.Ibn Abdah said, "He would spend on his family their provision for a year, and whatever remained he would allocate for cavalry and equipment in the path of Allah ."Ibn Abdah said, "For cavalry and weapons."
حدثنا عثمان بن أبي شيبة وأحمد بن عبدة المعنى أن سفيان بن عيينة أخبرهم عن عمرو بن دينار عن الزهري عن مالك بن أوس بن الحدثان
كانت أموال بني النضير مما أفاء الله على رسوله مما لم يوجف المسلمون عليه بخيل ولا ركاب كانت لرسول الله ﷺ خالصا ينفق على أهل بيته قال ابن عبدة ينفق على أهله قوت سنة فما بقي جعل في الكراع وعدة في سبيل الله عز وجل قال ابن عبدة في الكراع والسلاح
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Jihad and Expeditions, Chapter on the shield and one who shields himself with his companion's shield, no. 2904, and Muslim narrated it in the Book of Jihad and Expeditions, Chapter on the ruling of fay, no. 1757, from the hadith of Sufyan bin Uyayna, with this chain.
