Jabir bin Abdullah reported,

I fell ill and had seven sisters in my care. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came in to visit me and breathed into my face, and I regained consciousness.I said, "Messenger of Allah, shall I bequeath one-third of my estate to my sisters?"He replied, "Do better than that."I said, "Then half?"He replied, "Do better than that."Then he left and went out, leaving me. He then said, "Jabir, I do not think you will die from this illness of yours. Allah has revealed and made clear what is due to your sisters," and He assigned them two-thirds.Jabir used to say that this verse was revealed concerning his case, "They ask you for a ruling. Say: Allah gives you a ruling concerning those who leave no descendants or ascendants as heirs" [Nisa 4:176].

عن جابر قال

اشتكيت وعندي سبع أخوات فدخل علي رسول الله ﷺ فنفخ في وجهي فأفقت فقلت يا رسول الله ألا أوصي لأخواتي بالثلث قال أحسن قلت الشطر قال أحسن ثم خرج وتركني فقال يا جابر لا أراك ميتا من وجعك هذا وإن الله قد أنزل فبين الذي لأخواتك فجعل لهن الثلثين قال فكان جابر يقول أنزلت هذه الآية في {يستفتونك قل الله يفتيكم في الكلالة}
