The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said regarding game caught by a dog, "When you release your dog and mention the name of Allah, then eat, even if the dog has eaten from it, and eat whatever your hands return to you."

قال رسول الله ﷺ في صيد الكلب إذا أرسلت كلبك وذكرت اسم الله فكل وإن أكل منه وكل ما ردت عليك يداك
[Hasan]. Bayhaqi narrated it, 9/237, from the hadith of Abu Dawud, as above. The hadith has a hasan corroborating narration coming at 2857. Dawud bin Amr, his hadith is hasan, see also, no. 2855.
