Adi bin Hatim reported,

The Prophet ﷺ said, "When you shoot your arrow and mention the name of Allah, then find your prey the next day, with no trace on it other than your arrow and it is not in water, eat from it. But if a strange dog mingles with your own dogs, do not eat, for you do not know, perhaps the one that is not yours killed it."
