The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Were it not that dogs form a community among the communities, I would have ordered that they all be killed. So kill among them only the pure black ones."
حدثنا مسدد حدثنا يزيد حدثنا يونس عن الحسن
قال رسول الله ﷺ لولا أن الكلاب أمة من الأمم لأمرت بقتلها فاقتلوا منها الأسود البهيم
[Hasan]. Nasai narrated it, Hunting, the chapter on the description of dogs commanded to be killed, hadith 4285, from the hadith of Yazid bin Zuray with this wording. Tirmidhi also narrated it, hadith 1486, 1489, as did Ibn Majah, hadith 3205.
