Neither of them mentioned in the narration of Hammad and Malik from Ayesha that they said, "Messenger of Allah, some people who have only recently left the days of ignorance bring us meat, and we do not know whether they mentioned the name of Allah over it or not. May we eat from it?"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, "Mention the name of Allah and eat."
حدثنا موسى بن إسمعيل حدثنا حماد ح و حدثنا القعنبي عن مالك ح و حدثنا يوسف بن موسى حدثنا سليمان بن حيان ومحاضر المعنى عن هشام بن عروة عن أبيه
ولم يذكرا عن حماد ومالك عن عائشة أنهم قالوا يا رسول الله إن قوما حديثو عهد بالجاهلية يأتون بلحمان لا ندري أذكروا اسم الله عليها أم لم يذكروا أفنأكل منها فقال رسول الله ﷺ سموا الله وكلوا
ﷺ Sourcing, sahih. Bayhaqi narrated it, 9/239, from the hadith of Abu Dawud through him. Bukhari also narrated it, hadith no. 2057, 5507, 7398, from the hadith of Hisham bin Urwa through him. It is also found in the Muwatta (Yahya), 2/488, as a mursal narration.
