I caught two rabbits and slaughtered them with a sharp stone. I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about them, and he instructed me to eat them.
حدثنا مسدد أن عبد الواحد بن زياد وحمادا حدثاهم المعنى واحد عن عاصم عن الشعبي
اصدت أرنبين فذبحتهما بمروة فسألت رسول الله ﷺ عنهما فأمرني بأكلهما
Grading, its chain of transmission is hasan. Nasai narrated it in the chapter on hunting, the section on the hare, hadith: 4318 and 4404, and Ibn Majah, hadith: 3175 and 3244, from the hadith of Amir Shaybi through this route. Ibn Hibban graded it sahih, hadith: 1069, and Hakim narrated it, 4/235, and Dhahabi agreed with him.
