"So eat from that over which the name of Allah has been mentioned" [Anam 6:118] and "Do not eat from that over which the name of Allah has not been mentioned" [Anam 6:121]. Then this was abrogated and an exception was made, for He said, "And the food of those who were given the Scripture is lawful for you, and your food is lawful for them" [Maidah 5:5].
حدثنا أحمد بن محمد بن ثابت المروزي حدثني علي بن حسين عن أبيه عن يزيد النحوي عن عكرمة
{فكلوا مما ذكر اسم الله عليه} {ولا تأكلوا مما لم يذكر اسم الله عليه} فنسخ واستثنى من ذلك فقال {وطعام الذين أوتوا الكتاب حل لكم وطعامكم حل لهم}
