An uncle of mine called Abu Burda sacrificed his animal before the prayer. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him, "Your sheep is merely a sheep for meat."He replied, "Messenger of Allah, I have a young domesticated goat, a yearling."The Prophet said, "Slaughter it, but it will not suffice for anyone other than you."
حدثنا مسدد حدثنا خالد عن مطرف عن عامر
ضحى خال لي يقال له أبو بردة قبل الصلاة فقال له رسول الله ﷺ شاتك شاة لحم فقال يا رسول الله إن عندي داجنا جذعة من المعز فقال اذبحها ولا تصلح لغيرك
