Najdah wrote to Ibn Abbas asking him about such and such, mentioning several matters, and about the slave, whether he has any share in the spoils, and about the women, whether they used to go out with the Prophet ﷺ and whether they had a share.Ibn Abbas said, "Were it not that he might fall into some folly, I would not have written back to him. As for the slave, he was given a small portion. As for the women, they used to tend to the wounded and give water to drink."
حدثنا محبوب بن موسى أبو صالح حدثنا أبو إسحق الفزاري عن زائدة عن الأعمش عن المختار بن صيفي
كتب نجدة إلى ابن عباس يسأله عن كذا وكذا وذكر أشياء وعن المملوك أله في الفيء شيء وعن النساء هل كن يخرجن مع النبي ﷺ وهل لهن نصيب فقال ابن عباس لولا أن يأتي أحموقة ما كتبت إليه أما المملوك فكان يحذى وأما النساء فقد كن يداوين الجرحى ويسقين الماء

Muslim reported it in the Book of Jihad and Expeditions, chapter "Women who take part in raids are given a share but not a full portion," hadith no. 1812, from the hadith of Zaidah, with this wording.
